Kings United India are a hip hop dance troupe that was the first Indian team to win Bronze medal at the World Hip Hop Championship, 2015 in San Diego. Suresh Mukund (born on December 24, 1987), is the choreographer/mentor/director of the group. . Kings United competed in the famous dance competition named Dance Champions hosted by Star Plus. Their life journey was noticed & later adapted into a movie ABCD 2.

History

In 2009, Mukund along with a partner formed the hip hop dance group 'Fictitious Dance Group' which participated in dance reality shows:

  • 2009- Boogie Woogie (Sony TV)- Winner
  • 2010- Entertainment Ke liye Kuch Bhi Karega (Sony TV)- Winner
  • 2010- India's Got Talent (Colors)- Third Runner's up
  • 2011- India's Got Talent (SNV Crew)- Winner

In 2012, SNV group finished eighth at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship, Las Vegas. Remo D'souza's ABCD 2 movie, starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, was based on the real life story of this group.

After the release of the movie, Mukund's partner left the crew and the group split. Mukund then founded 'Kings United India', with his old team members and a few new additions.

Present

Kings United India competed at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2015, in San Diego and finished at the third spot. Varun Dhawan along with Ponds had sponsored this group for the competition.

The bronze medalists have now opened their own dance academy called "Kings United Kingdom Of Art" in Vasai. The academy was inaugurated on January 3, 2016 by Remo D'souza and Varun Dhawan.
